'Alison Mosshart Tshirt’
This T-Shirt is a collaboration between The Avalanches and Alison Mosshart, artist, and lead vocalist for rock band The Kills, and band The Dead Weather. as part of the band’s T-Shirt club.
Alison Mosshart began her musical career in the mid- nineties as singer of the band Discount whilst still in her mid-teens. Hailing from her native Florida, the band soon developed a cult following through their frequent and lengthy touring.
In 2000, Discount disbanded and Alison flew to London to form a musical partnership with Jamie Hince, and together they became known as The Kills. In 2017 they celebrated the 15th Anniversary of their first show on Valentine’s Day in London in 2002, and during this time have released four critically acclaimed albums: Keep on Your Mean Side. No Wow, Midnight Boom, Blood Pressures and Ash & Ice. The Kills are now working on their sixth studio album and continue to be in demand at festivals around the world.
In 2009 Alison formed The Dead Weather with Jack White, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence, releasing two albums, Horehound and Sea of Cowards. She has sung on the soundtracks of Sucker Punch, Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead, and had guested on records by Primal Scream, Gang of Four, Cage The Elephant, Ghost, Foo Fighters, Mini Mansions.
Revered as much by the fashion world as the music scene, Alison has become an icon and role model to her fans around the world. In June 2015 Alison hosted her first solo painting show in New York, and has had recent shows in LA, Muscle Shoals, Miami and Mexico City.
Alison’s most recent art shows include “Fire Power”- Maxfields, Los Angeles 2017, “Side Effects”, Panteon MX, Mexico City, 2018, “Los Trachas”, FF-1051 Gallery, Los Angeles 2018. "Car Ma" book release, 2019.
Alison has chosen to donate the profits from the sale of this T-shirt to Earth Alliance. Earth Alliance is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to increase the understanding and practical implementation of Earth centred governance, with a focus on law, economics, education, ethics and the arts.
